BACKGROUND

I grew up in South Florida and earned my undergraduate degree there before planting new roots in the DC Metro area.

I work as a Human-Centered Design Strategist at MITRE, where I help teams listen more deeply, create more intentionally, and deliver with impact.

Outside of work, I’m often writing (I’ve published two books of poetry!), teaching yoga, or diving into a good novel. I also love experimenting in the kitchen, exploring new restaurants, spending time with friends and family, and wandering around the city with curiosity as my compass.

Whether I’m designing for change or teaching a yoga class, I care deeply about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and understood.

MY METHODS & SKILLS

While tools play a role in my work, being a human-centered design strategist means showing up—in conversation, in co-creation, and in real connection.

I don’t just sit behind a screen; I spend just as much time listening to people’s stories, aligning with stakeholders, and creating shared clarity across teams.

For me, tools and methodologies are just that: tools. What matters most is knowing when and how to use them to build understanding, strengthen relationships, and create impact that feels personal, purposeful, and lasting.
