FROM CHALLENGES TO CLARITY: BUILDING A DEPARTMENT'S FY25 STRATEGY

Challenge
The Refinery department was facing organizational changes that required a clear and unified strategy for the upcoming year.
Without input from all of the employees in their department, there was a risk of misalignment and missed opportunities in addressing new challenges and
priorities.

Provided Expertise
Workshop facilitation | Systems Thinking | Service Design | Strategic Visioning

Outcome
The workshop surfaced multiple distinct ideas for the department’s FY25 strategy, directly shaping the roadmap used by leadership. Just as importantly, participants left feeling heard, engaged, and more connected to the department’s direction.

The process helped align past reflections with future priorities, sparking critical conversations and clear next steps all in just two hours.
By blending facilitation, structure, and space for honest input, the session created more than a strategy. It built shared ownership and momentum.

SIMPLIFYING ONLINE GROCERY SHOPPING FOR FAMILIES

Challenge
FamilyCart, a grocery delivery startup, was preparing for a product redesign but lacked recent user research to guide key decisions.
Despite its focus on family-oriented convenience, users still felt frustrated by limited control over substitutions, a lack of transparency around deals, and uncertainty in the shopping experience.
In a competitive landscape dominated by Instacart and Walmart, FamilyCart needed insights to clarify where it could stand out.
Note: FamilyCart is a fictional client created for a graduate-level course project.

Provided Expertise
User Research | Insight Synthesis | Journey Mapping | Strategic Recommendations

Outcome
We conducted remote interviews, usability testing, and surveys with active online grocery users, mapping their emotions and needs across the shopping journey.
Our research uncovered three core opportunity areas:
-
Empowering users to customize substitutions
-
Increasing visibility of savings and promotions
-
Building trust through clearer shopper communication

These insights became the foundation for new design concepts and strategic priorities. The client team walked away with a clear, actionable understanding of how to improve user experience and differentiate in the market.

CULTIVATING STRONGER TEAM CONNECTIONS

Challenge
The Vertex Solutions team was midway through an important project, but concerns regarding interpersonal dynamics started to surface.
Leadership recognized that without addressing these issues, the team could risk ineffective collaboration and miss key project milestones.

Provided Expertise
Workshop Facilitation | Team Health Assessment | Conflict Resolution | Emotional Intelligence

Outcome
By leveraging an anonymous team health survey, I gathered crucial feedback that revealed the team's strengths and areas for improvement.
This data informed a targeted workshop focused on conflict resolution and fostering stronger communication.
The session empowered team members to navigate disagreements constructively, improving overall collaboration and trust.
Post-workshop feedback revealed increased feelings of being heard and valued, with team members reporting a stronger connection to both their peers and project goals.

Client Feedback
"The workshop was a turning point for us. It gave us the tools to approach conflict with curiosity, rather than fear. I feel more confident in how I express myself and in how we communicate as a team."
