About Me
Hello, I'm Starling, and I am passionate about solving multidisciplinary problems. As a strategist, I consistently ask: Who are our primary users? How can we empathetically listen and grasp their needs? Differentiating between a problem's root cause and its symptoms is vital in my approach.
Employing design thinking tools, I navigate multiple perspectives to craft user-centric solutions, prioritizing people in every problem-solving endeavor. I aim to amplify user experiences by designing solutions that optimize customer satisfaction and drive overall business success. Currently, I serve as a human-centered design strategist at a. not for profit.
In my free time I enjoy cooking and reading. A fun fact about me is that I am a yoga instructor and have published two books.

Predictive Policing in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
This project was completed in collaboration with Sandia National Laboratories to address issues with current decision making tools for power grid planning .The team built an interactive map of Miami Dade County displaying 81 zip codes with information about climate hazards, solar panel investment information, and infrastructure recommendations.
